BOJANGLES’ HISTORY
Bojangles’ first location was in Charlotte, North Carolina, in 1977. It was founded by Richard Thomas and Jack Fulk. Horn and Hardart bought the property in 1981. They grew the chain to over 300 locations in the nine years they claimed it, with a significant portion of those in Florida due to the consolidation of a smaller chain.
It was purchased once more in 1990, and authority was given to a seasoned fast food veteran. The chain was reclaimed only a few years later, and it was passed between owners several times over the next two decades. During that time, the chain expanded to include locations in over eleven states.
They inaugurated their 300th restaurant in 2003, and the Wall Street Journal praised it for its execution in 2008. By 2015, there were over 600 Bojangles locations across the country, with locations in Mexico, China, and Ireland at various times. Honduras, to be honest, still has some places.
Over the course of the restaurant’s existence, minor changes to the menu have been made. A few things have been included, such as boneless chicken options. The menu is primarily focused on their popular browned chicken and southern-style sides like red beans and sticky rice.
REVIEW OF BOJANGLES
This fast-food joint prides itself on its speed and friendliness. Staff is expected to be considerate and courteous, and they are. The wait is brief, and the happy group’s grins make it seem like no time at all. The environment in the restaurant is lively and inviting.
Everything on the menu is reasonably priced, and a full lunch will not set you back more than $10. They provide breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with all of the classic southern fare. Bone-in chicken “boxes” and chicken sandwiches like the “Cajun Filet Club” are available for breakfast, while bone-in chicken “boxes” and chicken sandwiches like the “Cajun Filet Club” are available for lunch and dinner.
They have a children’s menu featuring kid-friendly favourites like chicken strips and mac and cheese. They also provide combos with a number of their mark sides. There are options for the health-conscious, such as a “Cooked Chicken Bites Combo” and a “Greenhouse Salad.” They also provide cuisine for larger groups of people in need of some spicy Cajun pizazz.
Bojangles’ cares deeply about providing a clean and friendly environment in which to eat their meals, so they provide it. While variety is not their strong te, they make good progress with what they do have. They focus on providing a lively and welcoming environment with high-quality ingredients to attract and retain customers, and it has worked.
